FESTIVAL INFO
Breaking Borders is a multi-day music getaway on the island of Malta, where one ticket gives you access to three or four days of events, including open-air concerts and super-club takeovers, with exclusive boat parties available as optional add-ons.
The event will take place from Thursday 3rd September to Sunday 6th September across different venues in Malta.
The event is strictly for individuals 17 years and older. You may be asked to show proof of age at each venue.
You will be asked to show your photo ID when collecting wristbands at the venue Box Office to prove that the name on the ticket matches the name on your ID.
You can provide either your Identification Document, your Passport or your Driving License.
Expired Identification Documents will not be accepted.
The Event reserves the right to refuse entry if the name on the ticket does not match the ID.
Breaking Borders is a cashless festival, and an RFID wristband will be provided to all attendees to process payments for food, drinks and merchandise. There will be plenty of top-up points at each venue where you can add more funds to your RFID wristband.
Your RFID wristband can also be top-up online during the festival.
Attendees will also be able to top-up their RFID wristbands, using their ticket numbers, before the event. More information on this regard will be sent out to customers in an INFO Pack, approximately 1 month before the festival. Unspent money refund information will also be available in this INFO Pack.
Breaking Borders is a cashless festival, only card payment will be accepted inside the festival.
Please note that American Express is not accepted at the festival.
Wristbands can be collected from the Box Office, which can be found outside of each festival venue.
This would only need to be done prior to entering the festival for the first time and is to be kept on for the duration of the festival.
Lost wristbands WILL NOT be replaced.
Box Office opening times and locations will be revealed closer to the event.
TICKETS
4-Day Ticket includes access to all the days of the festival, including the opening party on Thursday at UNO Malta.
3-Day Ticket include access to Ta' Qali Concert Area between Friday to Sunday - excluding Thursday opening party.
All tickets exclude access to the boat parties. Boat Party tickets and information will be available closer to the festival.
4-day GA ticket includes access to all the days of the festival, including the opening party on Thursday.
However it excludes access to the boat parties. Boat Party tickets and information will be available closer to the festival.
4-day VIP ticket includes access to all the days of the festival, including the opening party on Thursday.
However it excludes access to the boat parties. Boat Party tickets and information will be available closer to the festival.

If you have purchased you tickets on Easol:
Tickets are sent out to customers approximately 1 month before the event. After you receive your ticket, you will be able to list your ticket on Ticketswap.
If you have purchased your tickets on Ticketmaster:
The option to resell will be available closer to the event. You will receive an email when this is available.
Please note tickets may only be resold through official authorised channels. Any tickets purchased from unauthorised or third-party websites may be considered invalid and will not be accepted for entry.
The name on the ticket must match the name on the valid identification presented at the box office. Entry will be refused if there is a discrepancy between the name on the ticket and the identification.
Please ensure you have downloaded the ticket onto your phone so that the barcode can be scanned. Yes, we actually encourage you to show your ticket on your phone!
No. Each ticket should have the name of the person attending the event. If their names are not on the ticket, please head to your Easol or Ticketmaster Account to update the names accordingly.
No, your ticket confirmation email does not guarantee you access to the festival, you need the have the actual ticket in hand, clearly showing your QR code.
The lead booker is the person who makes the booking and is the first named person on the booking.
Only one person can be the lead booker, they will book tickets on behalf of the whole group.
Yes, but you will need to enter the names and emails of all your friends in your group before the you arrive at the festival as each ticket must match the name on the customer’s ID card.
Once you've created your account you can log into your account HERE to view all purchases, make further payments, and download your tickets when they are available.
Once you confirm your purchase, you will receive a confirmation email with all your booking details. You can log into your account HERE to view your ticket(s) at any time.
This makes it easy to locate your ticket/booking when needed and avoids misplacing on your device! Your ticket(s) PDF will be available to download 7 days before the Festival.
Please note that if you have purchased Payment Plan festival tickets and/or accommodation, then these ticket types will not be available to download until they are paid in full.

PAYMENT PLANS
Yes, we have a payment plan option available. Please select the payment plan option on the check-out ticket. Klarna is also available on check-out.
If you pay via the payment plan option, you will pay £50 deposit at the time of booking and then pay the subsequent instalments split equally over 3 months. A £10 payment plan fee will be added.

If the system fails to take the payment on the scheduled date, the system will send out an automatic email, notifying you that your payment has failed, and that it will automatically try again after 7 days. If it fails again, it will repeat the process for the second time.
If the system fails to take your payment (3) times in a row, your payment plan will be automatically cancelled, and you will lose your deposit, and anything paid until that failed instalment.
No, the payment plan is fixed and the schedule is set at the time or purchase
Apart from the deposit which is paid at the time of purchase, payment plan would be charged in instalments on the specified due dates set out on the checkout page.
Breaking Borders Website:
If you have booked a payment plan via Breaking Borders website (EASOL) and we have your card saved, you can update your card details anytime by:
1. Going to HERE
2. Selecting your booking
3. Clicking “Change Card”
It is your responsibility to ensure that the payment card details remain valid and up to date. If you need to change your payment card details you must do this before payment of the next instalment becomes due.
TicketMaster Website:
If tickets have been purchased vie TicketMaster, please get in touch directly with the ticket agent.
We do not offer split payments. If you are paying in full at the time of booking or if a payment plan is set up, payments will be made using the lead booker's card details.
If you purchased your ticket from Breaking Borders website (EASOL), you can cancel and stop your payment plan at anytime by contacting us using the link HERE.
If you purchased your ticket from TicketMaster, you can cancel and stop your plan at anytime by contacting Ticketmaster HERE.
Kindly note that the deposit and anything paid until that moment is not refundable. Please refer to our T&C's HERE.

Each accessibility customer is entitled to one (1) Essential companion ticket.
If you require more than one (1) Essential companion ticket, kindly send us an email on accessibility@breakingbordersmalta.com
The companion will receive the same ticket type as the customer — for example, if you have a VIP ticket, your companion will also receive VIP access.
A valid Disability Card or relevant documentation, such as blue badge or nimbus card, must be presented when collecting your wristbands to confirm eligibility.
BOAT PARTIES
No, you will need to purchase tickets to the festival in order to attend the boat parties.
More information with regards to the Boat Parties will be available soon! Lookout for posts on our social media pages.
Boat parties will be three hours long.
Your boat party ticket includes access to the boat party. Bars will be available on the boat, and drinks can be purchased using your Festival RFID Wristband.
There will be no food for sale on the boat.
Please note that you are not allowed to take drinks or food on the boat with you, except for a sealed bottle of water.
TRAVEL / TRANSPORT
More info on shuttles will be shared closer to the event.
We would recommend an app similar to Uber or Bolt that run 24/7.
LOCAL INFORMATION
Bolt and Uber services are recommended. Download the apps from Apple Store or Google Play. Ecabs Malta are also one of the most reliable taxi services on the island.
The Euro is the official currency. Exchange at banks, Western Union, post offices, or airports. Credit/debit cards are widely accepted, so carrying a lot of cash isn't necessary.
